Jo speaks on two things she knows inside out: the art of rest and burnout recovery, and how she built a global personal brand from her spare room with only a MacBook and a dream.
She is available for retreats, workshops and corporate wellbeing days.
Jo also speaks at marketing and business events on building a global brand from scratch, including how to grow an audience on Substack and Instagram (175k followers) while keeping your integrity and joy intact.
We invited Jo to be part of a wellbeing month here at Bauer Media and her session was great. Inclusive, accessible and with real impact on colleagues who can take away so many useful tips from her session and put them into practice everyday. – Bauer Media
Jo’s workshop at our Making Zen Online Retreat was such a beautiful reminder of how important it is to care for our bodies alongside our creativity. She brought such warmth and wisdom to our community, sharing gentle, accessible exercises that helped ease the achy hands and shoulders that can come with long hours of crafting. Participants especially loved learning how to weave these simple yet powerful movements into their creative routines, making their stitching practice feel more mindful, nurturing, and sustainable. – Zen Stitching
Jo's Speaking Topics
In 2022, Jo experienced severe burnout and even disillusionment following the COVID pandemic.
Having taught yoga ever since she left university, including running her own yoga studio, Jo chose not to give up.
Instead, she refocused her approach and created ‘Yoga for Tired People’ designed for people who, like her, had become exhausted or overwhelmed by the demands of their careers.
In this talk, Jo shares how she let go of the pressure to meet others’ expectations and began to run her business in a way that felt more sustainable.
As a leader, you can learn a lot from the culture and philosophy of yoga. While many people associate yoga with flexibility or physical exercise – and often wonder if it’s for them – the truth is that yoga is less about movement and more about a way of living. Its principles offer powerful insights into self-awareness, balance, and intentional leadership. In this talk, Jo explains how adopting a yoga-inspired mindset, rather than embracing the so-called hustle culture where surviving on three hours of sleep and six coffees is seen as a badge of honour, can create a healthier, more productive environment. Jo shares how these principles can benefit not only individual wellbeing but also team performance and organisational culture.
Jo has built an engaged community of over 165,000 Instagram followers and 36,000 Substack subscribers through her passion for yoga and her commitment to sharing real value. By showing up authentically, especially during times of personal and global burnout, she has transformed her passion into a thriving online membership business.
In this talk, Jo shares the practical steps, mindset shifts, and behind-the-scenes lessons that helped her turn what she loves into a sustainable, income-generating platform.
Jo trains yoga teachers through a distinctive, values-led approach, grounded in unconditional positive regard. This approach creates a supportive, non-judgemental environment where trainees feel safe from harsh criticism and empowered to take creative risks, by letting go of perfectionism and growing in confidence. Her mantra ‘It’s allowed to be easy’ encourages a shift away from self-criticism and toward self-trust – creating a culture of compassion and confidence. In this talk, Jo shares how these principles can be applied beyond the yoga mat to leadership, learning, and team culture.
