HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE COPE WITH THE CHALLENGES OF TODAY
Fostering and maintaining good mental health in young people is an ever-present concern for educators and employers alike. Staying ahead of the curve can be challenging, as young adults and children face immense pressure. Not only do they have the age-old hurdles of adolescence, but they also live their lives online, in front of screens, with earbuds in. The pressure to conform to body and beauty standards is enormous — perhaps greater than in any previous generation. That, combined with the struggle to succeed in education or the workplace, means young people can easily become trapped in a vice of stress.
For today’s youth, just trying to keep up with everything the world demands of them can have long-lasting effects on their mental wellbeing… so, what can schools and businesses do to help kids, teens, and 20-somethings thrive?
As an integrative nutrition health coach and student of psychology, Claire understands the challenges young people face. In her talk, Claire will share strategies to help young people cope with the challenges of today.
